Circumcised or Not?

Did you know that the difference between being circumcised or not could reflect on your ability to be sensitive to your partner before, during and after love-making?  When you are circumcised you have to make an extra effort to tune in to sensitivity in both your own body and your partner's.

Please read the new article I posted above Anatomy of the Penis, Mechanics of Intercourse. Without circumcision you have about 20,000 nerve endings in the outer foreskin, inner foreskin, frenulum and frenar band and glans. When circumcised you have only about 4,000 nerve endings left. A woman has about 10,000-20,000 nerve endings in the clitoris, vulvae, and surrounding inner and outer tissue, depending which areas are included in the count.

Physically this puts a huge demand on the circumcised male to pay closer attention to their sensitivity. Your 4.000 nerve endings have to be 5 times as aware as the uncircumcised male's 20,000.  Psychologically it makes you think that the woman has the same level of sensitivity as you do.  She does not, she is more sensitive.  With your foreskin intact you would enjoy foreplay a lot more, similar to a woman. You would have more pleasure in longer, slower lovemaking.  Orgasm would not be as crucial for satisfactory lovemaking.  The woman wouldn't need as much lubricant, or her lubricant would stay in her vagina more easily if you were not circumcised.

Key things to be aware of about sensitivity levels:

1. The woman does not feel as aroused as quickly as you.  Her juices take time to build up.  So caress her  softly, smoothly, with tenderness and learn to enjoy it.

2. Do not go straight for the nipple.  That's what a baby does when the breast is engorged with milk.  Don't pinch or pull the nipple straight out the gate.   You want to stimulate the woman's sexual response to you so play with her desire.  Your sensual erotic touch is what opens her, and it's what stimulates estrogen and the juices that engorge the lips, the breasts, the vulvae and vagina. It is better that she already feels engorged when you head for the nipple.

3. Close your eyes and notice the glans of your penis and always touch it with conscious awareness.  Learn what kind of touch makes you notice your sensitivity to pleasure.  Learn to play in that range of sensation and practice breathing into the sensations.

4.  When approaching her genitalia do not go straight for the clitoris. You may like your penis grabbed and stimulated right away.  You may not realize the woman does not like this.  Soft palpating touch evokes the sensual juices out of her. Extreme light touch fires the outer nerve endings.  Heavy touch or fast rubbing tries to stimulate something deeper more quickly.  Yet it is the sensitive sensual touch that will build the internal desire, physically and psychologically.

5. Tune in.  There's nothing a woman loves more than a man who will tune in to her.  If you ask her questions remember to whisper or speak sensitively.  Don't disrupt the trance you have already induced as it will block the flow of hormones, the ones needed to keep the pleasure cycle flowing.  Learn how to communicate with the goddess before you, verbally and non-verbally.

6. Patience is more than a virtue ~ it's pure gold when it comes to lovemaking.  Whether a long slow session playing in pleasure for hours or a short risky romp, patience will bring more satisfaction and happiness to your love life than not.

Anatomy Helps to Explain the Mystery!

Welcome to my open heart!  I kiss the air of love!  Here is my latest meandering:

There really is a mystery to the arousal process of a man, the same way there is a mystery to the arousal process of a woman.  But because two male organs (well 3, since one is doubled) sit outside the body, and the obvious sheer size of them, male genitalia have been studied extensively and the so-called mystery has been removed from our conversation.  I believe however that men are mysterious, not as simple as we are cajoled into believing.  And their mystery lies in their beingness, the sweet Soul Essence of who they are.  Men have been raped of this divinity and the beautiful mysterious masculine creativity.  Divine Beings of Heart and Soul (and Sexiness!) I do love you.

While at the same time all the power of mystique has been handed over to women!  Well true, we are Mysterious and Glorious!!  But my suspicions that physically we are as mechanical as men came when I discovered numerous variables in my ability to create orgasms during routine tasks of self pleasure.  Years ago.  I became a robot of orgasm.  I know exactly what makes me orgasm and what does not.  So I am not so mysterious to myself and if I can remove my own mystery, I can teach someone else, and show them mechanically what makes me orgasm.

Sadly it has taken eons for scientists to truly examine the clitoris and the orgasmic response.  Please read the article posted under ~ The Whole Clitoris ~  Study that, draw your own pictures, share it with your lover; she probably does not know herself!

As for me, I'm heading to the bedroom to do my own research.... so please be in touch later for some wonderful connections!

blessings and love

dancing last night

all rights reserved Book of Blue©

” I saw you dancing last night on the roof of your house all alone.

I felt your heart longing for the Friend.

I saw you whirling beneath the soft bright rose that hung from an invisible stem in the sky.

So I began to change into my best clothes in hopes of joining you,
even though I live a thousand miles away.

And if you had spun like an immaculate sphere just two more times,
then bowed again so sweetly to the east,
you would have found
God and me
standing so near
and lifting you into our arms.
 ...
I saw you dancing last night
near the roof of this world.”

Contemplating the sun, the snow, travel to the jungle and the beach... preparing for big changes in our world... we dream and we dream big.

"Love is not the ability to pour warm feelings upon a hostile world, but rather, the willingness to be an open channel for the Divine Spirit in all places and at all times.", says HK, who is one of my spiritual guides and mentors.

In these fast paced times when the earth's vibrations are speeding up (literally!) and the energies all around us are this seemingly insurmountable pressure to submit to that which was created for us (without our input), we are challenged to bring our focus and attention back to the source of ourselves. We are living during the KALI YUGA, the era of accelerated darkness. Yet we are SOUL, divine beings infused with the Godforce to create and co-create. We have many new and ancient teachings to guide and sustain us. Let us use them to our fullest expansion of Love and Joy.

The truest key to fulfill your life is to be truthful to yourself and sincere in all your interactions. Sincerity is the key to a life of purity and love.

Tantra Explanation

What is Tantra?

"I worship in my heart the Goddess whose body is awash with ambrosia, beautiful like lightening, who, going from her abode to Shiva's royal palace, opens the lotuses of the lovely axial channel (sushumna)."

bhairavi-stotra (12) of the tantric sutras

This writing displays the lovely feminine creative quality of tantra and the surreal poetic state of bliss that it induces. Tantra itself really is a deep practice of one's essential spiritual being living in the human dimension. It can seem to be an intangible or complicated spiritual path with links to Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism.

The history of Tantra pre 1000 BC is argued by scholars, as it arose during a time of unwritten teachings and the truthseekers of the times argued it's validity as a spiritual path, even though practitioners built temples and shared the practices in their communities. From a scholar point of view Tantra is meant to assist one to live though and find the way to truth and enlightenment during the time period of the Kali Yuga. The Kali Yuga is defined as one of 4 major time periods of human existence on earth. The Kali Yuga is the dark age, where souls engage in and are surrounded by the backward traits of lust, greed, vanity, anger and attachment. From a practical point of view Tantra is a way to accept, process and let go of these 5 passions of the mind and body and move into a life of the 5 virtues: discrimination, contentment, humility, forgiveness or tolerance, and vairag or detachment. It was Buddhists who embraced Tantra and called it Vajrayana Buddhism that gave true spiritual validity to the practices in the halls of a growing religion. Prior to that (around 1000BC) Tantra struggled to be included as a serious scientifically proven set of practices within the Hindu Tradition of India. Many Hindus and many Yogi's considered Tantra to be pagan, without merit and a reason to delve into the passions. Is is also easy to link Tantra to Yoga as both are from India, are not religions, are written down as 'Sutras' and involve physical exercises, breath practice and meditations.

One historical count declares that Tantra was developed in north India, in Kashmir, about 5000 years ago and was not written down until about 2500 years ago. Yoga also was developed on a similar timeline. Tantra itself is not a path of yoga, though you may hear the term 'Tantric Yoga'. The word tantra means 'expansion' or 'lengthen' and also 'weaving', whereby yoga means 'coming together' or 'union'. The words come from the ancient Sanskrit language and can be interpreted in varying ways. Tantra also means body energy. I then say it is 'expansion of body energy' from the inner awareness to the outer expression. It is first being aware of and cultivating the internal energies and then expressing them outwardly, expanding them through the vehicle of the body using the body's energetic centers, the 7 chakras. Yoga is a 'union of body mind and spirit', it is a drawing of all your energy inward from the outer to the inner into the one-pointed focus, the dristi. In yoga the dristi is important because the practice trains you to develop your one-pointed focus which is used in meditation with the divine. When you compare tantra and yoga you understand that tantra is the feminine path and yoga the masculine path. Tantra is non-linear and flowing, building energy from the intricate desires that lay hidden in each chakra; your attunement with yourself is key and your path becomes your own creation. Yoga a step by step linear path, and whether you choose to practice hatha yoga or kundalini yoga, raja yoga or bhakti yoga the essential elements are self-discipline, discrimination, focus, and open heartedness. All practitioners follow essentially the same step by step path. Both yoga and tantra ultimately are meant to assist the follower to reach enlightenment, the elusive state of enduring happiness and awareness of God.

Once we delve into the practice of Tantra we find many elements that seemingly do not connect or relate to each other. There is a purpose! Each element of practice can fire the inner awareness of a multifaceted self. Let's break it down in a very real sense: We are multifaceted and at any one time any aspect of our human being can be running the show: the animal, the sexual, the emotional, the heart, the expressive or manifestor, the mental or the spiritual. Tantra teaches the inner self to be the guide to what will unfold. Tantra explores the aspects of the self as they relate to the 7 chakras and the correlating physiological self: the organs, their functions, the glands and the movement of energy as any of the above forms of energy (emotional, mental, sexual etc...) as a movement of fluids, enzymes, hormones, nerve impulses through the body.

Tantra can be white or red; white tantra are the practices you do alone, and red tantra are practices you do with a partner. Tantra can be Indian Tantra, which focuses on heart opening and partnering... Buddhist Tantra which is more meditation and White Tantra. There is also Taoist Tantra which focuses more on energy movement and revitalizing the chi energy. And finally there is Tibetan Tantra, which some consider to be Buddhist Tantra.  Each system is actually scientific, and has a unique healing system within each. You will find Pujas (rituals) that are honoring the divine Goddesses and Gods, deities considered to be divine representations of the various feminine or masculine energies, of which we all are a combination of. These Pujas feel more religious in their ritual style. However each one can be a beautiful honoring of the divine within.

Ultimately we are each Atmas. An Atma is a Soul being made of light and sound energy.  Tantra is the expansion of energy from within, expanding the inner light and sound energy through breath, meditation, sounding and physical movement practices.

Tantric Massage for Couples

Tantric Massage is a ritual of receiving sensual kundalini (sexual) energy. The kundalini energy is stored in the root chakra (1st Chakra) at the base or tip of the spine. Involving sensuality and the 2nd chakra, the sexual center just above the pubic bone & below the navel, and combining these 2 chakras to build energy is what makes tantric massage sexual.
In this ritual, you are given time to explore your body without goals. Tantric massage adds energy healing and tantric coaching to the ecstasy of receiving a nurturing and awakening sensual massage. It creates an environment in which you can release stress and feel more alive in your body while staying fully present to your sexual energy.

A Tantric massage is often the first step in learning to be a sexual being without going into fantasy or trancing out. It teaches you how to truly feel your body as it is being touched and aroused sexually, to be in the present moment, aroused and alive.
Start your tantric massage by creating a safe and luxurious space to perform the massage. You can have soft music playing and candles lit to create an opulent space. Prepare a drink to have ready during the massage.

The receiver’s only job is to stay present to the touch that is being offered, and to breathe. Make this a deep circular breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth. This breath helps keep you in the present moment and also helps move the sexual kundalini energy through your whole body.

The giver’s only job is to connect and touch in a way that feels good to the giver, not to the person who is receiving the tantric massage. This is one of the most important parts of giving anything. You want to touch your partner as if you are feeling a luxurious fur, and drinking in the sensations of how it feels to rub your hands along this fur. We do this for two reasons. First, if we touch from a place that feels good to us it will feel great to our partner. Second, when we wonder if our touch is feeling good then we are forced into our heads and out of our bodies. Tantra is the art of being sensually in our bodies not in our heads.

Begin the massage with your lover lying on his or her belly. Although there are many techniques on how to massage, the most important thing is to touch more slowly than you are in the habit of doing. Bring your focus to the touch itself, and use the same circular breath that your partner is doing. Whenever you catch yourself holding your breath, gently pause the massage and hold your hands still on your partner’s body. Take a deep loud breath, this will remind both you and your partner to breath. Explore his or her whole body as if you have never touched a body before. Linger wherever your hands are called to, move wherever you want to. This is a loving full body massage so don’t forget about those places that don’t often get touched like the inner thighs, groin, and the buttocks.
The back massage will come to a natural conclusion if you let go of any goals or time frames. When this happens ask your partner to gently roll over. Begin the next stage of the massage with your hand resting in stillness on your partners heart. Spend a few moments breathing together simply feeling your heart connection. As you feel called, begin to explore the front of your partner’s body.

If a woman is receiving, then going slowly is the key. Exposing her breasts and genitals can be a very scary thing, even if you have been intimate for a very long time. Taking your time and making sure that your partner feels safe is very important for her to be able to open to the tantric massage. Begin by massaging her breasts. Use a slow and gentle touch that feels good to you. Don’t worry about arousing her, that is not your job. You can try simply cupping her breasts with your hands and feeling them as she breathes. Imagine that love is poring out of her breasts and into your hands. The breasts are the seat of a woman’s sexuality and need to be loved and honored before any other part of her body will open up to you.  The breast massage will come to a natural conclusion and you can begin to explore the rest of her body, paying special attention to her belly from just below her rib cage to just above her pubic bone. Massage everything from her head to her toes. You can work around her yoni (vagina) massaging her inner thighs but do not actually touch her yoni until her body is completely open to you. Your hands will usually know when you are called to work on her yoni, but it is still important to check with her to make sure that she is ready to open to you. When you feel she is ready ask her verbally, "May I touch your yoni?". This is a very sacred place and must be treated as such.

If a man is receiving then they may be very eager to flip over and have a release from the lingam. Many people confuse a tantric massage with an erotic massage and release. In a tantric massage there are no goals, which means we have no goals for a release or to withold a release. Without goals we are able to experience new sensations that Spirit leads us to. In many cases these are more amazing than anything we have explored before. If we force a goal, such as an ejaculation, we will have the exact same release that we always have. Men’s sexuality starts in their lingam (penis). So to begin you might place your hand over his penis and just feel it. There are no expectations that he will get erect or be flaccid. Whatever state he is in is perfect. From there begin to explore the rest of his body. Using your hands to move his sexual charge from his penis out to his body. You can move back to his lingam as your hands are called to but don’t do it because that’s what you think he wants, do it because exploring his lingam feels good to you.

Whether a man or woman is receiving the massage it will come to a natural conclusion. The sexual energy may rise and fall during the massage. Allowing these peaks and valleys to happen without trying to control them is beautiful and very tantric. When the massage comes to a conclusion offer a Namaste "The divine light in me salutes the divine light in you" by placing your hands in prayer on your heart. Staying and cuddling after the massage is a perfect way to close the ritual. Just breathe in the joy and bliss that you have created.

Additional techniques for retention practice include a pelvic floor muscle exercise and 2 different styles of breathing. Breath practice is called Pranayama in both Yoga and Tantra. In Tantra the purpose of breathing the circular breath as described above is to feel sensations through your whole body, and to share that experience with your partner. There is also the pulsing or pumping breath, sometimes called the upward draw, different than the circular breath. There is also fast belly breathing. Both these techniques are used to gain more control over arousal and or ejaculation and orgasm. These 2 techniques I explain in a session, along with the pelvic floor exercise.

Namaste,

Lovingly,
Shakra
